The initial call with the recruiter was good. She suggested another role from what I applied for that was more senior level and fit my skills better. I went on to meet with that recruiter and the interview was good/easy, but when we got to talking about salary expectations she came in under what the first recruiter told me which was 75k but was negotiable and they said they are sticking to 55k non-negotiable which was a disappointment and seemed like a bait & switch tactic. But proceeded to let me know all travel was paid for, which is expected for a company whom you'd travel for 70% of the time. This was all after taking a 4-hour aptitude assessment test which was required to move on in the process for all employees and positions.
