Technology stack varies from 1 company to another. Some of the panel members are strict about the a programming language . This should be a bit flexible as a person comfortable in java can pick up to speed in python with little brush up. Approach and attitude should over weigh the syntax and semantics of a language. Hortonworks is a great company that has a bright future. I will definitely re appear for the interview in the future.
