Initial video interview with an HR person, a project manager and a technical lead. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Following the interview, I was sent an online coding exercise to complete in Java. There was sufficient time to complete it and submit the solutions. I was impressed with how the online unit-tests/evaluation for the solutions were setup. A few days later, I received a call with the HR team. However, the offer was low in salary and did not seem to consider my previous healthcare I/T industry experience of 6 years. I declined the offer. I feel that somehow salaries in Kelowna are low, and could be a reason why HR is offering lower salaries for Kelowna.
