You can not say no. You can not question the corporate culture. You must be willing to do what ever task the request. If you can clear drug screening and a background check the job is yours.

Can you Solder? What is previous experience? Do you have production work experience in soldering? How would you repair? Do you have to have a schematic or can you repair based off of a known functional problem with the unit and a part list know to fix this functional problem? (i like to call this repairing by brail. your not sure what was broken but just replace these compontents. no going around a loop or going through a node in circuit diagram.( a sub system with electrical input and electrical outputs.))
