Technology Assessment: Evaluate the available drone technologies for wildfire management, including thermal imaging, LiDAR, and multispectral cameras, and identify the most appropriate ones to be used in the study. Field Observations and Data Collection: Conduct field observations and collect data using drones equipped with the selected technologies, comparing the data collected by the drones with data collected by traditional methods. Data Analysis: Analyze the collected data to evaluate the effectiveness of the drones in detecting and mapping wildfires and compare the data to traditional methods to determine if drones provide significant improvements in wildfire management. Evaluation of Drone Use for Delivering Firefighting Resources: Investigate the potential use of drones for delivering firefighting resources, such as water or fire retardants, to the wildfire site and evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of this method. Legal and Ethical Analysis: Analyze the legal and ethical considerations associated with the use of drones in wildfire management, including privacy concerns, airspace regulations, and potential risks to human life. Results and Findings: Summarize and present the results of the study, including the effectiveness of drones in wildfire detection and mapping, the potential for drones to deliver firefighting resources, and legal and ethical considerations.
