Very strange experience. Connected with the hiring manager and had a great phone interview. I found it odd that it was scheduled on a Sunday, but was told that they needed to fill the position quickly. I was told I would hear back from HR to schedule an in-person interview. HR never got in touch with me so I followed up with the hiring manager again. Finally rec'd a call from HR who said they had been trying to reach me by phone and email. Since I was waiting for the call I am 100% sure they never contacted me. That was strange and awkward. The in-person interview with the hiring manager went relatively well, A TON of typical interview questions (strengths/weaknesses, etc.) We met for over an hour and then I met with two from senior leadership. They had no prepared questions, just looked at my resume and asked very vague hypothetical questions that were very difficult to answer. For example I was asked "what do you use the most from college?", and "how would you compare two lists in Excel?" When I asked for clarity they said "it's whatever you want". It was just odd and a little awkward. I hadn't heard back in about a week so I checked my status on the online portal and noticed the job title had changed. I got a call from senior management a couple days later asking if I could schedule a "second interview" for the senior analyst position. When I told her I had never interviewed for a senior analyst position she explained that she thought "there had been a conversation" already. It was odd, but I asked her to send me the job description. After reviewing it and thinking a lot about my personal goals I politely declined the interview. She never responded to my email.
