1. A Take-home assignment to be submitted in 48 hours
2. Followed by CTO call
3. Followed by CEO Call
Here is my review of each step:
1. The take-home assignment was irrelevant but I still completed it and got the 10k prize.
Even after completing it in 48 hours, they asked me to add test cases which were not agreed upon before. Good that I got the 10k prize else my efforts would have been vain. So, NO standard process of hiring. Sadly, there were no updates on the 10k prize and had to continuously reach them for that.
2. CTO call was really funny as their CTO had no idea about the company developer culture. Honestly, this startup even after 6 years has not a single process for development. All she was blabbering was how the client deadline needs to be met as service-based company.
3. CEO call was even the worst, when asked about the reviews and ratings on Glassdoor, he commented we are trying to improve it by asking our internal employees to post fake reviews. On top of it, he commented big companies like Google have Glassdoor PR teams to improve the ratings lol.
Suggestion for interviewers and the company:
Very young and naive management team at the Top. They have no experience in hiring, processes or product development. A fun fact, the CEO and CTO were always kept in loop for each mail, looked like the management is micromanaging the hiring process.
