      Entretien pour Social Media Manager

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Mischief Management en sept. 2022

      Entretien

I applied with this company because of glowing reviews from internal contacts. There were two positions available at the time, and so I chose to apply for both. Nearly two weeks later, I heard back from one of the positions (as denoted in the title of this review) and met with the person who had initially suggested I apply (they were a friend and thought I would be great for the role) where after a brief conversation, my application was moved up in the process. After 3 more interviews with other team members, culminating in the final interview with the CEO, I was very excited and hopeful for the opportunity to continue and potentially be hired. This would not be the case. After my final interview (mind you, this is now a month and a half after my initial contact) I never heard anything back. It was then that I learned the decision had been made to move forward with two other candidates, and I was never let down or actually "rejected". This came across as exceptionally unprofessional, as I had been putting my time and effort into this process for some time, and while I understand I might not have been the best candidate for the position, the very least courtesy afforded me would have been an email explaining such. Rejection is never fun, but being left hanging after nearly two months of effort is even worse and extremely disrespectful towards potential employees or those interested in becoming part of a company's dynamic. While I still appreciate the work they do and fun this company brings to the world, this round of interviews left an exceedingly bitter taste in my mouth. I can't say that I would ever recommend anyone go through the same process, as it seemed to be easy to casually cast aside a potential employee with no regard for their effort and professional decorum.

      Question 1

After four interviews, the questions primarily covered my expertise and abilities in the given field of the job role. Nothing out of the ordinary.
