I’m going to have to agree with everyone else and say that this WAS NOT a good experience.
I came across Meltwater through my school and was called for an initial screening that went great. I was then called in for a group interview that consisted of 20 candidates and 5 employees.
The best way that I can describe the group interview is that it was basically like the preliminary events of a beauty pageant...to the point that I had to go to the front and give a 1 minute pitch on what I am passionate about. It took everything in me not to get up there and say, “world peace”.
It just really bothered me that they made it out to be like we needed to know a ton of information about the company, which they sent to us in an email, and yet we never spoke about the company outside of their initial presentation.
In the end I did not get called in for a one-on-one, which I was fine with, because I had pretty much already decided that I wasn’t interested in joining that circus, but it still kind of sting considering I had paid $200 for a hotel room in order to be there at 8:30am. You live and learn tho!

Completely different to the reality of the job - they set up a day that showed unlimited potential and made us go through useless exercises only to pick the people who rebutted a sales demo

Terrible experience – I submitted my application, and the Talent Acquisition Specialist from the UK turned up late to the call. I think he had been working out, as he sounded out of breath. He didn't apologise for being late, and the few questions he asked me were really blunt and not engaging at all – which is a shame for a first encounter. What really bothered me was that he mentioned he was abroad, and his signal was acting up. It felt like he pretended he couldn't hear me and then hung up. I contacted him again via email, but he completely ghosted me. A few days later, I received a generic rejection email. A super disappointing experience.
Very good interview process with quick turnaround / answering time. Focused on getting to know you and your potential for working at the company. Interviewers were very nice and personable.
