They had closed down a location in Denver (fired all staff!) and were preparing to reopen soon. I met the owner of the franchise as well as his District Manager. I could not have been more impressed. Spoke with the owner for a good 30 minutes. The conversation was free flowing, pleasant and on point. He was open to my questions and had the most insightful observations. It was the best interview I've ever had. I DESPERATELY wanted to work with this owner, truly believed I could learn so much from him. Never got a call back. Devastated. Truly do not know where I went wrong.
I was called a couple days after replying to an online job posting. There was an initial phone interview and then an in-person interview. I was asked about any previous experience as well as management Systems that I was familiar with.

Very relaxed and inviting, technical questions were asked as well as by accounting, budgeting skills along with Human Resource background. However, I was recruited by the company. They already knew a great deal about me and my background. Therefore, it was more of a reiteration of my background and goals I had exceeded within the past companies I had worked for.

Figuring my food cost with a calculator a piece of paper and a pencil from a false sales report that I was given. I had not done it in that manner in quite a while and only occasionally when I thought my accounting program was fritzing on my labor or food cost. I thought it was a little strange, but came in with an acceptable figure.
