I sent my CV after being contacted by the Managing Director (in Portugal) on LinkedIn. In the following days I had an in-person interview with him where we discussed my experience and motivations. He described how the company worked, the type of projects they usual have and the training they provide to their consultants. The key point of the interview was the fact that they require everyone to accept a retention clause. This means that if you leave before the first 3 years you would have to pay 5kEUR. The second step of the process was an online test (Codility) which lasted 3h30 and consisted of 3 programming challenges. The last step was an interview with the lead of the Big Data team. The interview focused mainly on my experience, background, projects that I had worked in the past and the respective technologies. The interview ended with 3 short programming questions. After that interview, I received a call from the Managing Director saying that the feedback from the interviewer was very good and asking when I would be available to start. He was supposed to call the next day so that we would discuss more details about the proposal (at this stage it was obvious they were going to make one), but he never called. A few days later I contacted him by email, but with no response. A week later I sent him a message on LinkedIn and no response either. Two weeks after I called a few times, but he never answered. A complete lack of respect...

A very weird process to say the least. At a Friday afternoon was called 3 times but being busy couldn't answer the call. Received an e-mail and called back later that day. As it was the end of the day, the recruiter had already left the office but answer it. We agreed on an interview time next Tuesday, subject to time confirmation on Monday. There was even a strange outburst from the recruiter that everyone wants interviews outside of work hours, as if this request were not normal for people currently employed. No more contacts after that, until Wednesday a quite generic mail thanking my interest but that my profile didn’t match the opportunity. Seems the selection process a bit random or disorganized. Given the employee feedback and this experience, would advice caution.
