Phone interview followed by in person. I followed up after 2 weeks and hr noted positives about me and furans that they were waiting for VP approval. The VP approval delayed due to a retirement and I was called back 2 months later. I noted I was still interested then nothing for another month then the job was reposted no additional interactions with Loblaw.

The interview process was straight forward. Screening by recruiter following by interview with hiring manager and a final Go/No Go call with Senior Leadership. The recruiter was very professional and guides your through entire process. Hiring manager round was more of behavioral questions and project management questions. It went really well as well. Two (2) days after the interview with Hiring manager I receive an email from recruiter that the Hiring manager had a very great conversation and she will get back the following week when they'll make a final decision. Then I was on a holding pattern where I wasn't updated for 3 weeks and then they reach back saying that they moved on with another candidate. Overall it was a nice experience and especially the recruiter was very professional .

Unremarkable interview until the hiring manager asked something along the lines of "what do you do for fun?" My answer included quality time spent with my family, and I made no attempt to hide being a parent. The interviewer was noticeably unsettled, and enquired about the age of my child -- he proceed to write the age of my child on my CV. At the close of the interview on the topic of timing, and next steps, I reminded him that "I'm available". His response, "apart from the fact that you have a 3 year old". Shocking.
