Initial contact by recruiter--found me on LinkedIn; I did not make first contact. The company was seeking staff expertise from the Defense community. After several phone calls with the recruiter, I attended a 1-on-1 interview with a Sales Representative. This Rep actually released the req within the company for a very specific team. I then had another call with the recruiter who confirmed there was mutual synergy and asked to travel to California for the interview. The interview took over 8 hours, meeting with every EVP, engineering VPs, as well as the staff I would be supervising. The atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. The recruiter was on site all day and attentive to my questions. Having done 20+ interviews over 16 years, this one was one of the least stressful. Every person I met was high energy, enthusiastic about the company, and excited to find a like spirited person to join the team.
