The initial interview is a little unorthodox- as soon as you come in, the interviewer sits you at a table and gives you directions for an on-the-spot project to design 2 different lingerie costume outfits for specific themes. They give about 15 mins to do this and then come back and you present your sketches. The main interview follows this, and there is a take-home design project to create an in-depth illustration of another outfit with details and notes. usually these project are pretty standard, but I was never told that I needed to add my callouts or fabric details to the illustration so it was frustrating because the feedback was that all these details were missing and of course I did not get the job. It was a little hectic with miscommunication, but if you are good with quick sketching and illustrations then this would be a fun job.
