I went in to the interview with such a great attitude, energy and enthusiasm. I walked the DM through my resume and went over my accomplishments and let her know what my vision was. Throughout the entire interview I began to feel more and more discouraged as I felt she was not paying attention and looked like she was undergoing dental surgery. The DM honestly did not look interested at all. It was very uncomfortable for me, because it was either I continue trying to sell myself or just stop talking. I felt my resume had sufficient, credible, and relatable experience and I had more than enough qualifications to partake in this opportunity had she been paying attention and perhaps more open to listening. I felt uncomfortable and cut my resume short and asked her if she had any questions for me and her only question was, "Why Kate Spade"...I went on to give her my answer and how passionate and excited I was about the brand. I left the interview not knowing what to expect afterwards; however I maintained an optimistic outlook. I sent her a thank you email which I did not receive a response to, I also sent her a follow up email and again no response. I understand that there might have been other candidates with much more experience; but what struck me was the unprofessionalism in at least reaching out and sending out a generic "thanks but no thanks" email. Such a shame I love the brand and the empowerment it gives to women and I got nothing out of it.

Three indepth interviews. All with different managers. Very challenging to try to answer similar questions and not use the same examples. First two were very fair minded, last interview was more of a challenge due to the last manager seeming to have a different candidate already chosen.
Initially reached out via email. Zoom call with DM. Pretty straightforward, asking the typical generic questions. She was not very genuine, but rather came across superficial. Overall I did not feel comfortable with her interview style.

I was reached by another store manger/recruiter. I expressed my interest in the position and we proceeded to set up an interview. The first interview with the same recruiter went really well, I was interested to continue the process and we set up a second interview with District Manager. They didn’t call me on the agreed date and time and I had to reach out back to my first contact. As I found out, the district manger had some travel issues and couldn’t call. We rebooked the second interview. It was less positive than the first meeting and I didn’t feel any interest from a hiring manager. They asked me just regular questions except one - what do you know about Kate Spade, who was she, why she is famous and etc. it sounded like I had to know her whole biography…
Anyways, at the end of the interview I was told that I will be contacted back with the results and next steps if I proceed further.
Well, I haven’t been contacted since, and it’s been over a month already.
