      Entretien

      There will be at least 3 exams that you need to pass before you can proceed with the hiring manager interview. The interview process is a balance between your professional ladder and personal life. There's no pressure at all in the interview because the hiring manager is very accommodating. Also, the objective of the company is clear so you can already set your expectations right then and there. The exams were rigorous because Jumpcut wants to hire the right people for the job.

      Jumpcut expects excellence from its employees and cares enough to give them the support they need to deliver, and the company's hiring process reflects that. There were 3 tests (the 3rd one doubled as paid training) and 2 interview rounds. It could have easily been awful --- not least because I took the tests while juggling a full-time job and a hectic family schedule --- but the hiring manager sent prompt, constructive feedback; accommodated my sometimes-erratic schedule; and was never anything less than pleasant. Each test had a clear purpose, emphasized the skills needed for the job, and gave a good glimpse of what one could expect if hired. The managers conducted the interviews more as a friendly back-and-forth instead of the usual stiff, formal interrogation. Nobody ever asked for my résumé, and yet it's safe to say that Jumpcut runs a more discerning and thorough assessment than most companies who *do* ask. This is my first customer support job, and if I'd gone through the typical "credentials check + formal interview" routine, I'd be doubtful of my place within the company even if I did get a job offer. As it is, though, I know that I've been assessed on the basis of applicable skills, as well as what I hope they saw as my willingness to learn. More importantly, thanks to my hiring process experience, I started my first day confident that I had capable managers and co-workers who were more than willing to lend support when I needed it.

      Entretien

      I underwent two interviews during the application process. The first one was after the initial tests and it mostly checked on my progress and informed me about the succeeding steps in the application. The other interview was like an orientation/introduction to determine how I would fit in the job and company. Both interviews were casual and combined professional and personal questions that I think allows the managers to gauge whether you'd be able to accomplish job-related tasks and to fit in the workplace culture.

      Entretien

      It was a voice call interview using Zoom with the three Customer Success Managers. They were very accommodating and professional in their dealings, acknowledging my responses and open to answering any questions.
