Had an initial phone interview that went really well and was told at the end of it that the head of the department I was applying for would talk to me next week. The interview itself was really easy but the interviewer seemed really flustered for some reason. Over a week later, I still had heard nothing from them so I contacted HR who then said that they would talk to me next week. The following week I heard nothing again so I emailed HR only to get an automated "out of the office" response. The next week I emailed again and got a cookie cutter rejection email a few days later.
