I dont know what is their expectation. Could be correctness of output or could be complex java code with classes and spill your guts things. Since i no discussion so can't help much here.

Who was that intelligent interviewer? Possibly this interviewer would have been doing only a+b = c in his/her work but expects the candidate to open NASA API on the table itself. Were they looking for manager or a Hacker, report this interviewer then :)
And which NASA API this interviewer is talking about ?
