Shortly after applying for the position, I had two phone screens, one with the JCPenney recruiter (3/6) and one with the hiring manager (3/9). Onsite interviews were then scheduled for 3/29. My onsite 1:1 interviews were with five senior leaders. They all asked very good leadership focused questions to get an understanding of my experience level and how I would handle various scenarios. Meeting each of them made me even more excited about the opportunity to join the team. They are high energy leaders and are clearly passionate about JCPenney and their turnaround mission. On 4/4, I received the great news that I had been selected for the position and will be joining JCPenney on 4/23. Based on my previous experience as a hiring manager/director, the entire process was very fast. I also appreciated the clear communication throughout the process so I knew what to expect.
