      I Interviewed with the CEO offsite. She seemed concerned about having me interview at the HQ office. I'd known her from previous industry association, so I that wasn't a big issue. I was a bit surprised by how unorganized she was, and that she didn't really prepare any relevant questions for the interview. She seemed to be primarily concerned with esoteric kinds of things like positive energy, and harmony with those energy flows. She also felt the need to remind me, on several occasions, that she was the CEO now, after having assumed the role from her sister, the other owner. There were several other conversations that followed, then one day she asked me if I was ready to come on board. That was followed by another meeting to discuss compensation.

      I was asked how important I thought it was to be aware of the energy flow in a group setting and whether I could honor the dynamic of that universal energy.

      It is a common practice to use LinkedIn, and other social networking groups or associations to recruit for open positions. In these cases, it is likely to request an informal meeting over coffee to qualify the interest or availability of a potential candidate. Assuming there is mutual interest, meetings with other members of the team will follow. Information on compensation, benefits, and incentive plans (if applicable) are provided if there is interest in a position and candidate. The hiring time frame may vary depending on how easy it is to schedule follow-up meetings and calls. This process can also be dependent on a candidate’s availability to start work. It has generally been our experience that candidates decide to join Istonish because their interview and hiring experience has been positive.
