I had a great experience interviewing for this position. I was contacted via LinkedIn by a recruiter.
I live in Tokyo and the time difference made things a little difficult. However, I was excited about the opportunity and did my best to answer emails during New York business hours and the recruiter did his best to answer out of NY business hours for me too. Responses were very prompt and descriptive. The process was transparent and caused me to have an incredible impression of the company. (Thank you!)
For the steps of the interview, I had an initial screening followed by an IQ test and personality test. Both were proctored online. This was followed by 3 online interviews with separate people in various countries. This lasted a few weeks. I finally had an interview in person in Japan where I was interviewed once to see if I would be a good fit for the Tokyo team and then interviewed again by a native Japanese speaker to test my Japanese speaking skills. I was then assigned a small written Japanese writing task to check my Japanese writing skills.
I would say that the process was a little bit long but definitely worth it. This is a global company and as such there were many time zones that played a part in occasional communication delays.
The company went to great lengths to consider me and get me hired as an employee and I really appreciate that. No complaints at all.
