I applied to this role with 4 years experience. The job posting requested 5. I have my B.S. in this, too. The phone screen was great (no complaints), and I was scheduled for an interview. NEVER have I been so insulted in my life! It was obvious from the first 30 seconds that both interviewers did not want to be there and were unprepared. The longest question they asked me was how the application process had been so far. One interviewer barely said a word and sat far away, slouching, and the other was so exhausted that he went on a self-induced tangent at the end about how the applicant pool wasn't what it used to be (excuse me??), how they didn't have any entry-level roles open for me (again, excuse me??), and how they needed someone with the minimum of 5 years experience to tell people how to properly dispose of things like cardboard. No, I'm not kidding. Adding onto this insult, they later reached out to a friend to ask them to interview for the exact same position without at least emailing me that I was not selected to move forward. Very unprofessional. This interview was a waste of my time, my hopes, and was an insult to me on a personal and professional level. I thought Honeywell was supposed to be a great place to bring people together to foster innovation. Instead, I am left severely dissapointed and angry in a way that I never have been before at their utter small-mindedness. I will never recommend people apply for this role at the Deer Valley location.
