The application process went smoothly and without much excitement. After an initial interview with TA, two more followed with the direct line manager in Germany and a line manager in the UK. All the interviews were pleasant and everyone agreed that they wanted to work together. The final statement was that they were waiting for the draft employment contract from the global department. And then - nothing more. No response to emails asking if there was anything else that could be done to support the process, and if there was, then only that they would get in touch next week. The next week turned into the next month and still nothing. In the end, there was no response at all. Extremely disappointing.
