6 interviews. Several of them panels of 4+ people. Included a case study presentation that you had a week to prepare for. Still didn't get the gig. That many people over that many hours is a waste of everyone's time- unless the case study presentation is pitched specifically as a method of getting "free" ideas and research without hiring the candidate.
