Pretty sure they use bad AI to screen applications so good luck on trying to get past that to begin with and not get auto-rejected with no explanation despite meeting all the criteria. Comes across as very soulless and poorly run.
Interviewed for two roles last year, one was a positive experience with a team who seemed friendly and engaged, the other one was terrible and the people in this International team came across as very self-absorbed and disinterested in the process and me as a candidate.
Despite what the FCA say about hiring in all their locations, there is a very strong London bias so you are at a strong disadvantage if you apply for the national offices (maybe they need more people using their terrible Stratford office?)
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
You get sent the questions in advance so you can rehearse your robot-like STAR answers and then regurgitate them in the interview. Great method of finding the best candidates I am sure!

The process took nearly two months to complete all stages. To this day, I have received no response despite sending two follow-up emails to the recruiter.
If the FCA is your top choice, be warned. Even if you make it to the final stages, you may be ghosted. This has apparently been happening for years with no accountability. Their values look great on paper, but the experience tells a different story.

An interview was in two stages: two case studies with 7 questions in total plus another 4 questions on general comprehension of the area of regulation (credit rating agencies). I was given an hour and a half to complete at home PC. Expected a case study as per the email from HR and overlooked that the task was much bigger. By the time I realised that I had little time to finish. As a result the response was weak, however got to the second stage interview, where I had to make a presentation on one of the case studies and answer some competence based questions. I thought that the interview went well, but did not get the job.

Can you describe a time when you needed to quickly get to grips with a particularly large volume of data?

Two stage interview process, one for technical based questions, the other a "fit" interview. Also included in the technical interview was a case study around regulatory investigations and planning the stages and implementation of an investigation.
