Thoroughly enjoyed the interview process with Equity, though I was not selected for the Business Development Manager position. The Managing Director, Corey Smith, was transparent about the vision of the company, as well as the Minneapolis branch, and the expectations of the role were clear throughout the entire process. I appreciated the approach they took during the process. First an initial phone call to learn a little bit about me, my career aspirations, and gave me the opportunity to learn more about the role and company. Then, I attended an informal happy hour with the director and a senior member of the sales team, Zach Ross, which I greatly appreciated as it gave me the opportunity to hear it from not only from the head of the office, but also someone who I would be working directly alongside. Towards the end of the happy hour we came to the conclusion that while this role might not be the best fit for me today based on where I'm at with my career, it is what I'm interested in and something we all believed I could be ready for likely this time next year.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the interview process. The passion, energy, and enthusiasm, particularly Corey and Zach's, was infectious and I would love the opportunity to work for Equity in the future. One of the best interview experiences I've had thus far.
