      Entretien

I received an email from one of their in house recruiters stating that I was a potential fit for an opening they had in the finance/accounting department. I completed an application. One week later I was given a time to take an online test. Two weeks after the completion of the test, I was given a time to complete a phone interview. Several weeks later I received a rejection letter. The online interview was given by, what sounded like a newbie robot. Had no interest in the type of job I was interviewing for or my qualifications. In rote monotone asked what was your next job, and what did you do there, when did you leave, why...Using up our alloted 30 minutes...Finally ...Thanks you will be contacted soon....

      Question 1

On the phone interview all that was asked were dates and times of employment and reasons for leaving.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris plus de 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Epic

      Entretien

Started with the usual online application/cover letter. 2 days later I was emailed a link to a personality test to take online. It was your usual run of the mill personality test. The next day I received an email from HR to set up a phone interview. We set it up for the following week. The phone interview took about 30 minutes. The HR contact gave me information on the job I was applying for as well as a brief intro on benefits. The majority of the interview was them asking me about my job history. I had to give the name of the company, begin/ending salary info, give an example of something positive my supervisor would say about me as well as give an example of something negative my supervisor would say about me. Be prepared to answer this for every job you've ever worked! At the end of the phone interview I was told they wanted to meet me in person. So we set up the first onsite interview for the following week. The first onsite interview consisted of a 30 minute software demo as well as a 30 minute presentation on what exactly Epic does. This was followed up by 2 hours of testing. I took tests on reading comprehension, grammar, math, Excel, writing, a 10 key test, as well as a computer programming test. These tests are somewhat similar to SAT/ACT test questions. They were challenging but not anything you have to study for. After testing I met with an HR person for a 45 minute interview. Upon completion I went home and waited. A few days later they called and said they wanted me to come in for a 2nd interview. The 2nd interview consisted of a 30 minute interview with one possible team lead and then a second 30 minute interview with another possible team lead. This was followed up by an hour long lunch. I sat at a table in the cafeteria with 6 other candidates as well as one of the more experienced computer programmers at Epic. Epic covers the lunch but what you pick out is recorded down and it felt as if I was also being watched/graded to see how I interacted with the other candidates. After lunch I had another 30 minute interview with a 2nd person in HR who asked me more questions that directly related to the job I was applying for. At the end I had to submit Employer and Personal References, my transcripts from college, and had to sign off on a background check and a credit check. They then thoroughly interviewed all of the references I gave them. I talked to many of my references afterwards who told me they were on the phone talking about me to them for 30-45 minutes. One of my former bosses told me he felt like HE was the one that was applying for the position. Anyway....reference checking took a couple of weeks. Finally they called me and offered me the job. All told it was a little over 9 weeks from the day I submitted my application to the day I accepted the job.
