Contact by HR to attend interview 3 days time via Teams. Had applied via glassdoor for the role 15 days previously.
30 min virtual interview with Merchandiser, lasted almost 20 mins
Asked me to go through my CV to highlight my experience
Where did I see myself in 5 years
I asked questions to understand the department dynamics, working practices, culture, progression opportunities. Asked about salary banding, interviewer asked me my expectations and then said pay was competitive' to the market.
One of the final questions i asked about the interview process, was told that this would be it.
Merch said she would be in contact in a week for update. Never heard back. contact HR who had reached out to me for an update ..nothing
Unprofessional attitude in this respect - a short email, stating you have been unsuccessful, would have sufficed, instead they leave the candidate wondering..
Overall the interview vibe was abit odd, the merchandiser seemed quite 'stressed' was being stoic about it. She did not speak about the ORG in any detail, apart from when I asked my questions.
I was quite excited about the interview before attending, after the virtual interview I was a bit perplexed later - It really has given me a negative image of the Brand, something is not right..
- I am glad that I encountered this at a virtual interview and it did not progress further in the interview to role acceptance stage as it was dis-organised and the manager had limiting communication.
