I applied online in March and got an interview invitation a couple of days later. The due date of the one-way video interview was in early April and it happened to be on my birthday : ) I spent good efforts preparing for this interview since it was my first ever interview in my entire life and based on the job description, I really thought my skills could be a good match. However when I took the video interview, it was nothing like I thought it could be. There were 3 questions, although 2 of them allowed multiple retakes, they weren't much related to the position I applied, which ought to be more front-end oriented, yet these interview questions were more focused on the network and algorithm, I was thinking they might have distributed a different set of questions for another back-end related position until I read all your feedbacks... After the 1-way video, exactly 30 days later, I got a phone call from EAI asked me to take an online assessment right away. I was in my friend's apartment so I apologized and told that I would be back in an hour. Then I rushed back home and two hours later received the call again. I was asked to go to the website: "Join.me" for screen-sharing, then was asked to download a zip folder and install it. Didn't find the installable file for mac, I was a little bit confused so I asked if I can get some instructions.. : ( then I was told [sounded impatiently] to shut down my computer and forget about the test ... Still lucky enough, I was then asked to explain something in my resume. Got the rejection email 2 days later, felt a little bit hasty tho, since I really didn't have a chance to prove them my skills and demonstration. Overall, still treasure this experience as it's my first interview before my graduation and am really happy to see that they have already found someone fit for this position.
