*Ensure your workers rights are protected by asking the following at the interview*
- Do I need to accept every shift that is offered to me?
If the answer is yes, Domino’s is exploiting you. I worked for this company on a Zero Hours contract. This means they do NOT have to offer you work and you do NOT have to accept it. It seemed that this only worked one way, having to accept every shift regardless of personal circumstances yet no guarantee of shifts during drier spells. If you have an interview here, I urge you to look elsewhere for work - sometimes you drop plans to work and are sent away after 40 minutes.
Nonetheless, if you are not put off by a company exploit their workers and breaking the law, this is the application process:
- Filled out an application form in store
- Invited to interview, where I had to bring passport and NI number and was told I was hired
The conditions are so bad in Domino’s pizza that they have an extremely high staff turnover. I was very naive as this was my first job, but make sure before you begin that
1. They are upholding the law in regards to zero hours contracts
2. They are paying you the correct amount (often had to chase up pay, where I was paid LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE)
3. They respect you workers rights - 20 min UNINTERRUPTED break if you have worked for 4 hours.
4. 16-17? You are not legally allowed to work after 10pm, I was once made to work until 1am so ensure this doesn’t happen to you
If you have to work here and have no other choice, I am so so sorry. Life gets better and other opportunities arise. Know your rights and don’t be afraid to hold your managers accountable.

Applied for the job on the company's website, the same week the store manager emailed me about an interview. The interview was in-store and was focused on asking what you would do in certain situations and if you can work well in busy situations.

Really fast and fairly basic questions. The last question was "When can you start?" They were friendly and focused mainly on how I work as part of a team. They were also interested in if I could also drive but not being able to wasn't an issue
