I was asked a technical question to debug some React code. On spending time exploring the problem space, I started getting negative signals from the interviewer. Explained that I was spending time to understand problem space so I could do better, but I guess it didn't help. Respect to the team, and I'm sure everyone is extremely talented - but I request them to place more senior devs as interviewers - who actually empathise with how other people think.
