      Entretien

I applied for this job online. 3 days later, I had a HR phone screen. This phone screen involved speaking about my previous background and salary requirements. She asked me what my salary expectations were and said the salary for this job and how it is not negotiable. The salary was lower than my previous salary, but I accepted it just to see how this panes out. HR rep set me up with an in-person interview date a week later after this phone screen. Prior to the interview, I found out the person who did the phone screen was the person at the front desk. I met with HR manager, supervisor, and direct manager. The entire interviewing process was approximately 2.5 hours. HR manager went asked me what I knew about Charles Rivers and went directly over benefits. Then, I had a 1:1 with supervisor. Then another 1:1 with manager. To my knowledge, the manager gave hints that I got the job and later gave me a tour around the facility and introduced me to some of the team members there. Most of the time, it seemed like he was selling me the company and the role after I explained my background/skills and how I answered his questions. After the tour, he mentioned the next steps for the interview process and said that he has other interviewers the following week. Although I thoroughly prepared for this interview, the interviewing process was a lot easier than I expected. Overall, it was a pleasant interview and my interviewers were cordial and friendly. However, I received a job offer from HR via phone call 2 days later. Without any negotiation, I was excited that they raised the salary close to what I was asking with the first HR screening. I guess they didn't want to underpay me or that they really wanted me. I really like how everyone seems to do things very quickly here. And I wonder what happened to the other interviewers that the manager said he was going to interview the following week. To summarize, the entire interviewing process was exactly 2 weeks (from the time I applied to the time I received the job offer). This has been the fastest interviewing process I've ever had.
