We have a very open policy when an employee gives notice as we know how valuable proper notice is when given well in advance of an employee's departure. As we understand the value of notice for our company, we encourage all new hires to provide this same courtesy to all new hires as well. As we do not have any details regarding your specific offer, we can not say if there was a misunderstanding or a request to give notice beyond the customary 2 weeks. However, we have had new hires request to give more than 2 weeks in the past and we were able to work within their requested notice timeline for these cases.
