The recruitment process is based on 3 different step. The first is a test online. The second an interview with the HR and the third an interview with a panel of managers. If you are searching for a corporation that wants to appear like it's renewing itself well this is definitely for you. Because apart from appearance everything is so strict and long. For each interview you will have questions ask to you, in the first interview it's alright. But then for the second interview you will have to respond in the exact format of STAR even if it don't make sense to you. And if you decide to not use this method, even if your answer are good you are rejected. I think the best part is the way of rejecting you. In a traditional corporation you'll get an email notification. But at caterpillar they decided to go 50 miles further by sending you an email with only "graduate program" in the object. In the body of the mail they'll ask you if you are available for a quick call. You should prepare yourself because you can have 2 weeks before having the quick call. So you have time to think about it and imagine that you might have been selected for the program. The only purpose of this call is to tell you no you were not selected and to tell you this is not the end of the world it's alright. So my last word would be that when a company cannot keep their graduate for more than 13 months it is maybe because they are incompetent.
