      I have found the interviewing process very unprofessional. They will require for the candidate to implement a technical assessment that will take between 5 and 7 days to be completed without receiving any compensation for the invested hours. According to them this technical assessment is based on requirements that a customer gave them, this means it's very likely the company will keep your code and use it for commercial purposes since the assessment requires production ready quality and they require GitHub access to the codebase. The feedback will take no less than 2 weeks and will be sent in the form of an email with just one or two sentences. On top of what I have been describing, in the job description express and NestJS skills are listed as essential but the company only implements low complexity and dummy websites using Next.js server actions. Have also into account that they will ask you to pay only 50% of the actual salary in a monthly basis, and the rest it's gonna be paid according to your performance every 3 months using some not very clear indicators. Overall I do not recommend applying for this company unless you are looking forward to be treated like a disposable and cheap technology employee.

      Question 1

      Implement an event booking system where users can add, view and manage events to their schedule. The events source should be a CMS so you will need to read the whole documentation and implement an integration with a third party service. Other things such as the user events schedule must be stored in a Redis Database. You will also need to implement authentication by using JWT tokens and ensure there is several providers included for example using oauth. You will need to also provide a mechanism to protect backend endpoints and frontend pages. There should be the possibility of having admin users that can visualize the whole information from the users and their schedules in real time using Server Sent Events that are similar to websockets. Remember also that the application should be mobile first and responsive using a CSS framework such as tailwind, and the UX/UI experience should be good since they will be evaluating it. The whole application should be production ready and you should provide docker containers to be able to run it in any environment. Documentation it's also needed that explains the whole codebase and how to run in.

The aforementioned GitHub is one of the tools we use in our daily work, so it is important for us that the candidate applying for a specific position has already had experience with it. We have never used and do not use tasks that can later be used for business purposes. There are many reasons why we cannot do this, and the most prominent one is related to data protection, including personal data. We would like to emphasize that we take this seriously, so if you think you have experienced such a situation and have evidence of it, please contact us via hr@bejamas.io. When it comes to technologies that appear in job advertisements, we approach them similarly—that is, we only list those that we actually use in our daily work and projects. We agree and admit that, unfortunately, in some cases, we send feedback with a delay. If this happens, we try to stay in constant contact with the candidate and provide information on an ongoing basis. We can confirm that the same thing happened in our case. Last but not least, we don't use such practices in relation to salaries. The role you're referring to has the monthly base salary and the bonus compensation the person is entitled to when reaching the business goals. In no case do we cut the base salary. The metrics linked to the role and business goals that we present are directly mentioned in the job ad. We also discuss them during the first interview with the candidate, ensuring that this system is clear and understandable to the candidate. Again, thank you for sharing your opinions.       The interviews were highly professional, and the team was very responsive, providing detailed feedback at each step of the process. - The initial call with the Head of People was excellent. I received a comprehensive overview of the company, its business, and structure. - They were transparent about compensation from the start. - They showed flexibility with the technical task, adjusting the scope to match my availability. - I received detailed feedback on both the document I submitted and the technical task, highlighting gaps and areas for improvement. - Based on their feedback, I got the impression that their team is technically competent. - In the end, they provided feedback explaining why I wasn’t selected for the role. Overall, it was a great learning experience, and their feedback was very helpful for me.
