Had a referral and got a recruiter screen. Didn’t go well as there were already candidates in the final stages. Hopefully have better luck next time when I apply (and in the pipeline earlier)!

The entire process including the scheduling and took a total of 5-6 weeks. The recruiter and everyone were very kind and helpful. There were a few reschedulings but it was worked out. The process itself was incredibly long and it was pretty draining entirely. I did 5 interviews, a recruiter, a hiring manager, 45 mins portfolio review, a values interview, and a cross-functional team interview. All through the process, I asked for feedback so that I knew what to improve on and the team had no feedback and said that I did quite well. I made it to the final round, and the team decided to go with some who had strong illustration skills. They said it was a tough decision because I interviewed well and the team really enjoyed getting to know me. I really do think I did my best, I wished they had an emphasis on illustrations so that I had time to prepare more illustrations instead of showing my design versatility with branding, illustrations, and UI UX.
