      Entretien

My original post was removed due to me mentioning a specific person's name. Here is the review again minus the name. Not going to be silenced. ---------------------- I was invited to interview for the IT Manager Position. The interview process went HORRIBLY. It was the most unprofessional interview I've ever experienced in over 26 years of being an IT professional. I waited in the lobby with the lights off for approximately 10 minutes. I signed into their tablet announcing my presence. There were no bells or people or any other way of notifying them that I was there. I knocked on every locked door and window I could find. I had to call the recruiter to have them call HR. When HR finally decided to show up, the very first thing out of their mouth, in a very condescending way was, "You know you DON'T have to wear THAT, right?" They were referring to my mask. I let them know that I was fully vaccinated but politely declined to remove my mask. It was at this point that I believe the interview was lost. I was led to a room with the lights off and the interview began. I have extensive experience in every arena they were looking for. For every single question, I had detailed experience and examples of how to handle each situation. Halfway through every question, before completely answering, I was cut off. I was never given the chance to fully expound on any topic. When fiinally given a chance to ask questions, I inquired about the previous IT team. I did my research and was told by the recruiter that their entire IT team had recently left due to the transition of this company branching off of the originally company. Knowing that I would be coming in blind with no support from the previous team, I asked about some of the details of the transition process. I have been involved with 8 company acquisitions and branchoffs in my career. I am well versed in transitions. I could sense it was a bad break up and wanted to understand what their expectations were and what I'd be working with. Instead of answering the questions, they got terribly offended at my terminology. Terms like "new company" and "branched off" triggered them to bark at me, "WE ARE NOT A NEW COMPANY! I'LL HAVE YOU KNOW WE HAVE BEEN FUNCTIONING FOR OVER A YEAR!", and other irrelevant statements. It is obvious they went through bad transition and this was the reason the veteran IT team ghosted them the way they did. Part of the way through the interview another employee walked in. He came in head down, arms limp like someone who was burnt out. He sat at a desk in front of a computer that was turned off. He put his hands on his keyboard and sat there looking lifeless, staring at a blank screen. Suddenly this person tells him, not ASKS him, TELLS him. "Go get the lavender raid" He leaves the room. The HR employee start going on about how these ants in the room are getting on their nerves and they need to do something about it right now. He comes back with a can of bug spray. They start spraying the raid aggressively at some "ants", none of which I could actually see. Interestingly enough, the "ants" were in my general direction. I have never been more insulted in my life. During the middle of an interview, they started "killing bugs" and fictitious ones at that. It was at this point that I knew I didn't have a snowball's chance at this company. It was apparent that they had zero interest in actually hiring me. I am thankful that HR showed Aeromatrix's true colors and that I was not hired. I can imagine how horrible it would have been to work there. I believe 100% of the negative reviews on google, glassdoor and other systems. This is a TOXIC environment. RUN.
