Your key responsibilities?

As a Digital Product Owner at Vandemoortele, you play a key role in shaping the digital future of Customer-Centric Service across the different business units, including Bakery Products and Plant Based Food Solutions. Operating at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and maximizing the value of the new Customer Portal, ensuring that all digital solutions deliver the expected business value and align with the company’s strategic objectives.

In this role, you collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, the IT development team, and external partners to identify growth opportunities, establish an effective operating framework with business functions, and foster a digital and data-driven mindset throughout the organization. You act as the driving force behind a customer-centric roadmap, translating business needs into impactful digital products and solutions that enhance customer experience and support commercial growth.

You are also responsible for developing and executing digital products that contribute to Vandemoortele’s overall business goals, including sales excellence through tailored cross-sell and upsell opportunities, customer delivery track & trace, AI-driven customer interactions, and collaborative document sharing.

• Translate business needs, driven by the overall business strategy, into impactful Data & Digital solutions and products.
• Create, maintain, and prioritize the product roadmap, ensuring a clear vision for growth and continuous value creation.
• Lead complex digital projects throughout the full project lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, while ensuring delivery within budget, timing, quality standards, and user satisfaction.
• Prepare detailed project scoping and business cases through workshops, design sprints, and stakeholder alignment, ensuring alignment with business requirements, technical requirements, and the broader digital landscape.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including global and local business owners, internal and external IT partners, and country project teams.
• Engage, coordinate, and lead cross-functional project teams consisting of dedicated and part-time resources.
• Drive change management and user adoption of digital products, while measuring, tracking, and reporting on relevant KPIs.
• Champion operational excellence principles by promoting simplicity, efficiency, and a strong user-centric mindset.
• Prepare and lead program and project status reporting for steering committees and senior management.
• Identify, manage, and escalate risks when necessary to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
