I have recently joined SWIFT as a Regional Counsel, and would like to share my recruitment experience. I had interviews with the Head of Talent Acquisition, two managers (the Senior Counsel and the Lead Counsel), and the final round with the General Counsel. The interviews were transparent and pragmatic. Transparent - At the very beginning of the process, your interlocutors provide you with accurate information and details on the company, the role, what they are looking for, your key responsibilities and, at the end of each interview, the following steps. Pragmatic - I noticed a practical approach (straight-to-the-point). You should often be invited to explain some specific situations you faced to in your previous experience(s). Some business cases would also be presented then you can demonstrate your ability to address complex issues. In fact, there is no right or false response. They want to find out how much you can react professionally to various situations, and adapt to the company’s values. The priority is really given to your ability to fit the role. I felt my working experience was really considered. During all the hiring process, I was very well assisted by the Head of Talent Acquisition, and that means a lot in the pandemic context. Once the positive response came, a background check was done prior to the final confirmation. Then I got the role. From the very first day you feel part of a very supportive and collaborative team: 1-2-1 meeting with the top head of the department, warm welcome and assistance from colleagues, full support from your managers. SWIFT is a great place to work. Amazing office (in the HQ: building and work spaces, the garden, the castle, and so on). Excellent package and facilities - insurances, company car if you are entitled to, sport center and other activities. If you have dependents, they will certainly feel as integrated in the company as you do. Diversity and inclusion are not only slogans but real values, company culture and shared mindset.
