    Avantages

    The major benefits of working with the company are the travel and work opportunities. In all regions so far I have worked with great social teams. There is good exposure to a variety of aspects in the Capital Markets and other sectors such as Energy and Telco.

    Inconvénients

    The work load can fluctuate greatly.

    Avantages

    Its a start for a graduate. Working with important clients away and at the HQ. Expenses are helpful when deployed on client site.

    Inconvénients

    Newry facilities poor. Would not compare to similar tech companies.
    Not a great culture. The company sees you as replaceable.
    Training program is poor and of little benefit.
    The management structure & The HR department, lots and difficult in situations.
    Lack of genuine long term opportunities.

    Work/life balance could have been improved upon.
    Stop doing the bare minimum for staff, encourage and motivate by providing benefits like other tech companies.

    Great company to start with as a graduate. Real responsibility given quickly if hard work put in. Also excellent benefits package if on site

    Inconvénients

    The role you given may not suit your skills. Usually requests are listened for change in direction of career after a period of time.

    Good people to work with.

    Inconvénients

    literally, no place to do your work. However, management is planning to expand in terms of space. Benefits suck.

    Inconvénients

    Training was abysmal. They throw legal grads into banks and other finance companies and expect them to be able to keep pace with finance graduates in the same role, who will lead by miles in terms of excel alone.

    Avantages

    Once you have graduated from the Options programme, you get treated more like colleague than a school kid
    Wage is okay (again once off Options)
    Expenses policy is good (although the procedure is antiquated)
    Best place to be if you want to be developing in kdb

    Inconvénients

    Management and HR fob you off at every opportunity - serious problem with lack of communication
    The company sees you as replaceable
    No professional development opportunities and to attend anything externally, you must complete the same amount of work as you hadn't been out of office (which usually means you don't get to go)
    Even if you attend an event on behalf of FD, your workload will not be aleviated to accommodate this (which usually means working weekends/evenings to catch up)
    No staff incentives - minimum pension contributions, minimum health care policy.
    If not on site, your salary is not compensated for not receiving expenses so you get paid significantly less than your colleagues on site.
    Bonuses aren't merit based
    Culture that taking holidays is slacking off (created by management)
    Culture of having to be seen to stay late, that it is better to stay late doing nothing than get your work done and leave on time (created by management)
    Gender pay gap
    Any promotions of women in tech is purely as a marketing ploy while nothing is actually being done within the company to encourage women in tech (bar one event on international women's day this year)
    Statuatory maternity/paternity pay
    Statuatory sick pay

    Basically FD does the bare minimum it can get away with doing for its staff.

    Pay people who aren't on expenses appropriately.
    But it's not just about salary and expenses, it's about health schemes and incentives, promoting a healthy work/life balance by encouraging people to take their holidays and leaving the office on time. Corporate gym memberships, the company can afford to do better, and will reap the rewards of having healthier, happier staff.
    Encourage professional development. Realise that if I want to go to external training it is so that I get better at my job and aleviate my workload to facilitate that growth.

    Stop treating staff on the Options programme as children and they won't act like children (particularly in Newry).

    If staff don't have motivation, we are going to leave. Management needs to communicate better with staff if they want to keep them.
    Talk to us, see us as people with lives outside of work, ask what the company can do better to make us want to work here.

    Avantages

    Expenses when travelling and getting to work in big cities

    Take on a lot of graduates from various different backgrounds

    Inconvénients

    There are no benefits to working in Belfast or Newry and will end up getting less money compared to someone willing to travel

    You could end up on a project you don’t want to be on

    You get a better salary working for different companies

    Only a small amount of the training program is of any benefit
