      Avantages

      Unbelievable people, exciting students, important research - there is an energy that pervades the entire campus that makes coming to work a pleasure and a joy. Open and inclusive atmosphere.

      Inconvénients

      It can be challenging to work with so many bright people. This does end up creating the need to continuously produce your best work and extended effort. You can't just coast like you can at other places.

      Avantages

      High quality core facilities and well resourced labs. Countless brilliant colleagues who can serve as mentors and collaborators

      Inconvénients

      Students and Postdocs are expensive due to high overhead, so unreasonably high productivity is often expected compared to other institutions. PIs are typically stretched very thin. Most departments/labs are very space limited which makes it harder to do safe and productive research.
