Avantages
I will say that they do offer decent benefits, but at the end of the day having a great manager, working for a company with a strong vision, and just having a job I don't dread going into every morning is worth so much more than what Design Science can offer. -Good benefits -Decent salary -Nice co-workers -Flexible schedule
Inconvénients
If you're thinking of applying to or accepting a position at Design Science, then you need to be prepared for a few things: 1. Management is completely inept and has no people skills and chooses to constantly scold and berate his staff. You will be bullied. 2. Beware of the bait and switch. You will interview for and be offered one position. Once you're hired, you will quickly realize that you won't be doing that job at all. 3. Sales for the company are down and continue to steadily decline. Management will tell you they have a plan to fix this. They don't. 4.Management will lie about turnover. You will be told that most people stay for a long time. In actuality, there are a select few who have managed to tough it out. The rest leave as soon as they can no longer tolerate management. 5. Management will gossip about you. That's right. Management, not your coworkers. Management has no qualms about talking badly or disciplining employees in front of others. They're incredibly unprofessional. 6. Management has created an incredibly toxic environment and they choose to do nothing about it. Almost every employee who works directly under them has voiced concerns about this issue only to be dismissed. 7.Management will insist that they "just don't have the right people" working for them and that those who do work for them are lazy and unmotivated. If you do accept a position here, be prepared to be micromanaged until you hate your life, but at the same time be prepared to be given NO direction. You will never be able to get anything done, and you probably won't be able to figure out what management really wants you to do. Management will argue that they just expect perfection, but really they just want things done their way (and their way is old and outdated). 8. If you don't go to office Happy Hours or the Holiday Party, you're not considered a "team player." This will lead to you being gossiped about by management. 9. Working for Design Science will not be a step forward in your career path. At the end of your time there you will have literally nothing to show for it.
