Their "creative genius" brand of websites are texhnologically outdated by 10 years, at least. To incorporate ANY form of creativity, a competent designer would need at least one week of work. We were expected to hammer out websites in half that time, and our customers kept coming back for site repairs because we were forced to give them a uncompleted and often duct-taped website. The working conditions were comparible to a puppy mill. Cramped spaces, limited lighting, low ventilation, filthy stained carpets and no janitorial or building maintenance to be seen or heard. The management style was perfectly satisfactory for The Third Reich, but not acceptable for 21st Century America. I could compare the working relationship between sales and tech to be VERY similar to the high school antics of jocks vs. geeks. The sales force considered themselves to be the unstoppable force and perfect team of juggernauts. But when it came time to explain what they were selling, they had absolutely no clue. In many cases, we were told to provide products or add-ons to our websites that we simply didn't have the technology for. Sales would blow off the logical reasoning "Why are you selling products we do not offer?" with a barking and demeaning "JUST GET IT DONE!" Leadership tactics are fear and intimidation driven. Instead of what can we all do for the company, the mentality was more "What can you do for me, NOW!" Management would resort to personal attacks on employees to instill a shotty order of power. This resulted only in extremely low employee retention. Most employees would only last 6-12 months. Employee morale is simply not a consideration, a giant waste of time. When I finally put in my notice, not only was I ridiculed, but agressively and vindictively riduculed. I had objects thrown at me, and was even spit upon. I was treated as though I had betrayed the "team" by moving my life in a better direction.
