Avantages

Undercurrent's philosophy is savvy and its offerings include catchy 'ways of working' methods. I can't stop talking about this place. The employees are intelligent and have an air about them that I would describe as refined beyond their years, strategic, and wildly contemporary. They will continue to do well at Quirky and into the future.

Inconvénients

Being constantly affirmed that you are intelligent does something to a person. These mainly 20-something East Village and Brooklynites are pretty arrogant. You'll hear them talking about parents who own boats in the Hamptons. Let's just say there are a lot of first world problems being voiced here. However, this is not unique to this firm which is located in Soho.

Avantages

The most amazing and most consistent thing about the company over the 5+ years I’ve worked here is that it’s a place where incredibly smart and curious people come together to see if the famous Margaret Mead quote is really true - “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.” The company culture is fueled by an ambition to change the world for the better, and just enough naive optimism to believe that it’s possible. The result is that 1) nearly everyone you work with is a pleasure to be around, 2) you’ll feel like you’ve got a rocket booster on your career, and 3) you get access to incredible clients from day 1 (very senior, and very large-scale).

Inconvénients

Because of the fast pace and the high-performance culture, Undercurrent can be a bit unforgiving. It’s a sink or swim kind of environment, which works great for people who thrive on that challenge, but can be a challenge for people who need more support.
