Avantages
- Great team culture within the events programming team. Was really fun and enjoyed being part of a great (small) team! - Corporate dinners (each person would get to go to one per year) - A Westfield voucher at Christmas - Invite to the work Christmas party (not everyone got to go to these which was sad but it was nice if you were invited) - Free tickets to events (case by case basis - if you had "ins" with the right client managers of if an event had too many spare seats)
Inconvénients
- Management would hire anyone for a job that takes a particular skillset - this job requires the ability to have attention to detail as well as analytically thinking how each detail programmed into an event can affect internal and external stakeholders. Management didn't care about this so it would take people 6 months to a year for new programmers to get the basics right. - Overworked. Expected to work 12-15 hours a day even though we're on a $43k salary... (no days in lieu or actual remuneration for overtime) - Expected to work at events in the box office (which is unpaid) Many more things but I really don't recommend this role to anyone that wants to have a life outside of work and wants to be treated with respect
