Themis values employees as individuals and not numbers (unlike larger silicon valley companies). Compensation is great while loyalty is rewarded (not looked down upon) - most of the employees have worked here for more than 5 years! Internal promotion is always preferred, which explains why they don't have such a high employee turnaround - no one wants to leave! Intelligence and handwork is rewarded and the engineering team (which makes up most of the company) is extremely skilled and hardworking.

Being a small company, every employee is challenged and expected to wear a variety of hats - so if you are the type who wants to stick to your job description, look elsewhere. However, if you are quick learner and want to be exposed to a variety of skills this may be the place for you.

This is a small company that is going through a restructuring of their product portfolio. You will learn a lot working here, and be involved in things at a higher level than might be possible in a larger company. Conversely, you better thrive on challenge and 'that's not in my job description' better not be in your vocabularly. They do pay their employees well. They have just launched an award-winning software appliance that could really take off.

Lack of support for work/life balance. They are very rigid about adhering to their current processes, schedules. Some departments are given a lot of freedom (engineering) --- others are held to rigid start/stop times (support functions, finance). Also, warning accounting types -- they are on a calendar year fiscal year, be prepared to be at work very late prior to several holiday weekends! You also will need to be able to get along with strong personalities.
