Diversity is severely lacking which is not a surprise in tech per se, but the company consistently mentions this is an important topic for them, without much action. For example, we do bot have a diverse engineering team, very few PoC. We do not have a diverse sales organization.
The morale is horrible. Every time I think it can’t get any worse...it does and the company does not seem to really care. I think this is because there are still some of us who were hired by a company that very much expressed appreciation for its people, and now, it is very clear that the company has to “grow” by any means necessary. There is a great growth potential but the constant churn, and lack of clear direction stunts this ability.
Senior management issues a lot of “fluff”, meaning, words that sound impressive on a power point slide but if you spent anytime digging into what they actually meant, you wouldn’t really get anywhere.
The organization has hired a large amount of sales people in order to grow revenue (makes sense) but does not invest in execution teams , often making the core value centered around our customers a challenge.
This is a very challenging place to grow your career. The last head of HR who wanted to address this, mysteriously was replaced. Management has yet to acknowledge her departure in a meaningful way.
It’s a frustrating place to work on a daily basis. I feel like work life balance only exists if you’re willing to just let things break.
