      Avantages

      If you like working in a negative, fear-based environment - by all means apply!

      Inconvénients

      Senior management has blamed employees for subpar product. Senior management has patrolled the cubes to place fear into them to work harder. Compensation lower then other tech companies in the area. Limited to not potential for career growth. The company moral and work environment is very negative. Above average employee turnover - there is a reason why they are hiring. Based more upon hierarchy and not on employee input

      Thank you for your feedback. It is unfortunate you had such a negative experience working for Spectra Logic. If you are still with the company, I would suggest discussing your situation with our People Operations team, your manager, or any member of our executive leadership team. They are a great resource for Spectra associates. Having worked at Spectra for several years, I do not see a negative environment or a company run by fear. However, there are high expectations regarding associate performance, whch is common in a fast-paced technology corporate environment. This expectation is across all departments in the company.       Avantages

      Spectra is a diamond in the rough... Like most companies the pay or benefits might not always be the best with the industry but this company truly cares about its employees like I have never experienced before in my 23 years in the industry.

      Inconvénients

      Benefit costs were a bit much, but seems to be the theme for most places of employment these days.

      Avantages

      Spectra culture is bouncing back. If you survived the toxic hires at the upper levels the last few years, most of them are now gone. Overall things have improved dramatically and the organization is well positioned to take advantage of the strange dynamics that exist in the data storage industry today. There is a LOT of upside, and the majority of people care deeply.

      Inconvénients

      There are still some pockets of resistance and some places in Spectra that can't seem to accept working on a team without having to control everything. That type of attitude is declining thankfully.
