Inconvénients

A small sales team who have to cold call all day, a lot of nasty calls and people are just not interested. After getting a few sales after thousands and thousands of cold calls I was put off because it's just not worth it, lots of penalties in place if you do not hit their unrealistic targets. Always a fear of losing your job, no motivation from CEO, only fear of losing your job instilled by him constantly. The manager is under a lot of stress because the owner just keeps pushing targets on him that make absolutely no sense. Targets are decided based on what he would like to bring in rather than performance, year on year results etc... Completely unrealistic targets. They do no marketing so there are no leads, just cold calling all day. Lack of resources, mainly using free or cheap systems that make your job harder such as a terrible phone system, outsourcing to far away countries that delay response and delivery of products. On top of that it's a very low basic salary, and wont be until 6 months to a year until you start making a little commission.

Avantages

Totally legal work, offering a genuinely good service to businesses in the UK and OZ. Not many say that and pass the test of time in Bangkok. Good people to work with that can have a laugh in a tough job. Its a very supportive atmosphere though and the senior guys are always around to help out if needed.

Inconvénients

You've got to love cold calling for this job. Client retention is low so most months you're back to 0. Visa trip come out of your own pocket and holiday allowances. Not fair!

Avantages

You get to work with a very experienced team who have been in the industry a long time and really know their stuff. The company always keep on top of the latest tech and features that can be used to maximise client campaigns and ROI.

Inconvénients

Its can get very busy at times such as the run up to Christmas when a lot of companies ramp up their marketing, so you must be able to multi-task efficiently and effectively.
