Avantages

Most everyone is nice and easy to work with.

Inconvénients

The executive team is pretty clueless on how to actually scale a business. They are all old (w/m) friends so there is no accountability or ownership. They tried to grow last year and ended up laying a bunch of people off in a really tacky way because they don’t know what they are doing. Last year, they hired new people. The sales team couldn’t make a sale, and instead of letting the sales team (men) go, they let women go who had nothing to do with sales. Two weeks before Christmas break. With two weeks severance. They promised big bonuses then cut everyone’s significantly and again, blamed everyone but themselves. There are too many companies out there who actually care about the people who work for them to waste your time on companies who don’t… like this one.

Avantages

- Strong South American Dev and UX Talent - Large development team - Strong pipeline of Shopify Plus clients

Inconvénients

The management is an absolute disaster. There is no company culture—employees barely know each other, and there are almost zero interaction points. It’s a revolving door of hires and firings, with no real strategy or support in place. I was hired to replace someone who was let go, only to be let go myself. The person hired to replace me? Also let go. It’s a pattern. They have no grasp of capacity planning, and onboarding is practically nonexistent. Instead of setting people up for success, they push them into chaotic, unsupported roles and then blame them for "performance issues" when things inevitably go wrong. The agency itself operates like two separate companies, and one half runs on a shady deal within Shopify’s partner program—a loophole they exploited when the agency first started. There are multiple owners (four, I think?), but you’ll rarely see them. One was on my only 30-minute interview and then ghosted entirely, except for weekly meetings where he sat in the background with his camera off, contributing nothing. Unless you’re one of the born-on-third-base owners or a dev, this place isn’t a long-term solution. If you value stability, culture, or even basic managerial support, stay far away.
